It's time we take ownership in cultivating the culture

Our Mission

Omo Yoruba In America (OYIA) was founded in 2017 by a first generation Nigerian-American. She saw a need for Yoruba people in America to connect and support one another, as well as preserve Yoruba culture. She sought to create a central home for the Yoruba Diaspora, or Ile Omo Yoruba, to uplift and promote fellowship within the Community.

We strive to create a space for people of the Yoruba Diaspora to fellowship, preserve traditions, and build a legacy.
